Hard working folks trapped by Big Coal and the economy it creates. I feel for the miners, and as much as I am against Big Coal as an energy source, I can't make sense of any alternative for the people who have worked coal in any number of areas for generations. I guess making it safer should be the number one priority. Secondly, environmental issues absolutely need to be addressed. Thirdly, Standard of living should be addressed, that is to say, Big Coal needs to give back to the communities in a very positive and excessive way.

Big coal is always going to be around. The problem is that these families are simply not paid what they are worth nor are given the proper recognition they deserve. They provide so much for us and as far as the environmental issues go, these are things that can all be addressed in manners that do not harm people financially or harm them otherwise.
